Fall love...

Every season of the year holds a special place in my heart.  Different moods.  Different feelings.  They are all great.  But I have to say that Fall is my absolute favorite and always will be.  All the color. Color is my thing.  The change in the air.  The smells.  The way it makes you slow your pace a bit and savor the entire day ahead of you.  It's pure magic to me.

I love seeing the enthusiasm that it brings out of one person in particular.  The way she loves having the leaves all over.  She rakes leaves more than anyone I know and loves it.  Her love of all the color around her is infectious.  How she will stand out in the yard and breathe in all the earthy smells.  Love this girl to pieces.  Each little moment is magic to her also.

I love how Fall makes you want to cuddle and hunker down and make things.  Warm things.  Colorful things.  Cuddly, squishy things.  Hats are in the making here and two people have not taken theirs off until it is time to shower and go to sleep at night.  Love that.  Em wore her hat to work the other day and everyone asked if she made it.  I was told by one of her co-workers that she very proudly told them "No ma'am. Mom made it for me." I was told she had the biggest smile on her face afterwards.  I melted.  Miss B has her's attached to her head I believe.

Morning time in the Fall can be so amazingly beautiful.  So every morning I make sure that the girls curtains are pulled open just in case Mother Nature graces us with one of her spectacular shows.  This morning did not disappoint.  I wish every morning could look like that.

Pardon me while I go enjoy more of this wonderful Fall day.  Apparently school work has been canceled for the day and pumpkin carving has commenced in the dining room.  I have to get in on that.

  5. Can I come to your house to rake leaves? I was so excited the other day because we had a strong wind and 2 of the neighbor's leaves from down the road floated into my yard.
But, even with my lack of trees, Autumn will always be my favorite as well.

  6. How did I miss this post? You guys really had a beautiful fall. It's been raining the past couple of days so our sunsets haven't been and the sunrises are mediocre.
