Love it!!!

The girls were able to get out and do some real work on Tuesday with the snow that fell the day before.  They just had to be patient long enough for the snow to melt just enough so it would start sticking together.  It was pure torture.  But once they got outside they were busy little bees working from lunch time till the sun went down.  Dedication.  Pure dedication to make up for lost time in their eyes.  They were making the most of the time that was in front of them.

At bit of rolling here.

Making things just right.

And before long, a pretty substantial snowman was in the back yard.
He's thinking about why people find it so funny to throw his DNA around at each other.  Yeah, the girls read too much Calvin & Hobbes.

Then there was the one that got caught in the quick snow.

They worked their little hearts out until there were a good five or six snow "creations" all about the yard.

So here we are with today.  We got a another inch last night.  Not much more was to be expected.  One trip had already been made to shovel the driveway and sidewalks.  And we thought we were done.  Then as soon as we got inside, took all the warm clothes off, things began to happen again.  There's more out there now than what came down last night and it doesn't look like it's going to stop anytime soon.  The girls asked for snow and they are getting it now.  I must admit that I'm loving all the pretty white stuff all over everything right now.  I could sit for hours just watching it.

To say the girls are slightly excited right now is an understatement.

  2. What fun, I love the "quick snow" snowman, very creative. It's hard work making a snowman, I hadn't made one in years and we were out there after our snow rolling snowballs, it's a workout. Our snow is melting now, not sure if we'll get any more. Enjoy your winter wonderland. Heather

  4. Sounds like so much fun. I don't remember having enough snow to ever make a snowman. Our highlight was snow cream and pretending that we were orphan children and all we had left were each other and these cheese and or peanut butter crackers my mom would make. Then we'd make up stories and trudge through the yard. Fun times!
