Mother's Day...

I was asked what I wanted for Mother's Day while we were on our trip.  It didn't take but a second to answer.

All I wanted was
1.  to be able to see all the pretty flowers that the girls and I planted last fall, before they faded for the season and
2.  a quiet, simple day with my family, who makes Mother's Day possible for me.

As you can tell, my #1 request was answered already.
Now I'm just waiting for the second request tomorrow.

We were also surprised with the returning beauties that always greet us each year.
You can't imagine how happy I was to see we hadn't missed our most wonderful lilacs.

Here's hoping that all of you have a fabulous Mother's Day also.

  1. Flowers are beautiful! Have a wonderful mothers day!

  2. dear kar,
your flowers are beautiful.i love lilac, too.
    have a wonderful mother's day
    many hugs,

  3. Our requests are so similar! We have had unseasonably cool weather for this time of the year. Usually the air conditioning is kicking on. I grew up on the north west coast with beautiful weather every day. Windows and doors were open on a regular basis. Here in MS it is more like a quick few days of doing that. Not so this past week... the doors and windows have been open every day and it is heavenly. I could not ask for a better gift! And having my family near is also on my list. :o)
    Happy Mother's Day.
    Sincerely, Trish

  4. These are such beautiful flowers. What a pretty scene to look at each day. I wish you a very Happy Mother's Day!

  5. Glad to hear you are safely back home after your road trip. Your flowers are beautiful, thank you so much for sharing.

  6. I would hate to miss the lilacs in bloom. They are such a treasure. But then, all of your flowers look beautiful. I hope your day was a special one!
