Finding time...

Things have felt a little scattered around here this past week.  I've been putting too much on my plate again and it frustrates me.

So back to making lists so that I can actually see what needs to be done, what I would like to get accomplished and what actually was completed.  I'm a visual person when it comes to things like that.  So along with all the Fall chores that were completed around here the past few days (there are a few more to do) I was able to find time to do my own thing.

A few scrappy Halloween colored dishclothes were made from scraps leftover from solid colored ones that were made while on our trip last week.
Two more table quilts were made.  They have only been waiting on me for a week to finish them.  So sad.
Favorite Fall recipes have been pulled out of hiding so that we can enjoy them again.  Em made dinner  last night while I played 'supervising chef'. She did an awesome job!  You must try this soup.  So yummy.  I'm surprised we have any leftover.
Then after the hustle and bustle of the day, I finally made time to work on my granny blanket.  Even if it was just to weave in ends on squares that I just threw together last time.  Tails drive me crazy so I had to remedy that.  Poor blanket was probably wondering if I would ever work on it again.  Hopefully I can start adding more squares to it so that it will be finished one day, soon.
Some where on the list to do a Fall walk must be added on the list so that we can go enjoy all the glorious colors that are finally started to show themselves.

Hopefully this weekend will be filled with a bit more slowing down so that things don't feel so out of whack around here.  One can always hope.

  1. I am a lover of lists and I couldn't get along without them. I hope you find all the time you need to get things done. I love the gourd in your header! It's amazing.

  2. Hi Kar!
I love all of your projects!! Your table topper is wonderful and I adore your grannies! I am going to have to try the soup recipe...I could eat soup every single day during the fall! So glad you left a comment so I could find you :)

  3. I love lists when I have too much to do. They give me head space which I usually need by the bucketloads. I hope you have some less busier days ahead and achieve all that you want to.

  4. I am SO a list girl myself and completely relate. I love seeing all your fun projects, very inspring. I still have my summer quilt that needs to be finshied. BTW your corners are perfect! Have a wonderful weekend buddy and enjoy this glorious Fall weather.

  5. what a nice soothing post!! I just love all of your projects and the fall colors so nicely coordinated...

  6. Such Coziness!
    Beautiful and fun projects!
    Yummy soups!
So very glad you are finding time for enjoying autumn:)
    Have a great weekend!

  7. Wow, you have been busy...I hope this weekend is a slow and relaxing one.

  8. If anyone can get it all done it's you. I think I've said before that you are the most productive person I know! Great looking projects you're working on. Now, if this wind would die down, I could go out at spray paint a couple projects on MY to-do list!

  9. You were right about Giada's recipe being very similar to Paula's. With the one exception that Paula is known for....butter! :) Your photos are always so beautiful and it makes visiting your blog a true pleasure.

  10. Oh....You're making me want to tackle a few dishcloths. And a tabletopper quilt. And soup -- how nice for you to have a supervising chef!
