A happy place...

Today started out just like a crummy Monday should.
Dark, gloomy, rainy and me not feeling 'tip top'.
I made it an official 'sick day'.  To say the least the girls were happy about no lessons for the day.

About mid-day I felt good enough to attempt working on the quilt.  So I obliged.  I was in my happy place!  I was plugging along rather happily until the darn machine just didn't want to stitch anymore.  I tried and tried to figure out what was up but with no luck.  After a few choice words and nearly throwing a hissy (the reason why the quilt is laying on the floor), I called the repair shop to see if they could take the beast in for a look.  Tomorrow I will be getting up bright and early to drop it off in hopes of getting it back by Wednesday.
So until then I have been trying to decide if I should find something else to work on along the lines of something yarny or do I wait patiently for the beast to be returned.  While I debate on that I've been gathering some colors together to see if something inspirational comes to mind.
Nothing yet.
I might have to go browsing through Ravelry to see if anything grabs me.
With a bowl of ice cream sitting next to me.
That might make me feel better.

  1. Oh, I know about those days. On my newer machine that actually has all the feet attachment, the bobbin is acting crazy again. In due time I'll check it out because that's hindering my progress. I need to use the zipper foot. I hope it doesn't have to go into the shop. On the older machine, I only have one foot so if it's not straight stitching, I can hang it up.

Sometimes I think that machines and yarns have crummy days too. They just don't tell us in advance. lol

Happy Crafting (whenever you get back to it)!

  2. Sorry you had a bad day. But good for you for pushing through and trying to make something of it. I wish I was more like that. Hope you feel better tomorrow.

  3. I know the feeling...My new machine is acting up right now...grrrrrr...I'm totally frustrated right now.

  4. I hope you are feeling better soon.
    Take care,
    Anne xx

  5. I think it's something lots of us are going through right now. I chalk it up to spring fever. My nerves are totally on edge and I'm just not feeling myself. My dad would call it "cabin fever." I hope it passes soon. I too am ready for some type of inspiration. Maybe we just need to go shopping?

  6. Sorry to hear you had a bad day *boo. Here's to a better tomorrow, hang in girl.

  7. Your day sounds like pure frustration. Let's hope today that machine gets fixed. And that something struck your fancy on Ravelry. Chin up....Brighter days are around the corner!

  8. Hope you are feeling better!
    Have a great weekend:)
