Pumpkin bread

Pumpkin Bread

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Ingredients:

2c            all purpose flour
1can        pumpkin
3/4c        packed brown sugar
1/2c        butter, softened
2             eggs
1tsp        cinnamon
1/2tsp     ground ginger
1/4tsp     ground nutmeg
1/4tsp     ground cloves
1tsp         baking soda
1/2tsp     salt
1/4tsp     baking powder
1tsp         vanilla

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.  With a mixer, beat/mix at medium speed, until all ingredients are all combined well.  Scrap bowl sides often.

Place all the batter into a greased baking pan (you choice of a loaf pan or bundt pan).  Bake for 45 to 55 mins or until a toothpick, inserted in the center, comes out clean.

Cool completely and enjoy!

**You can also add about a half a bag of milk chocolate chips to the batter after the other ingredients are well mixed.  Just fold the chips in to the batter until well mixed and place the batter in your pan and bake.

(this is a recipe that I found somewhere(?) and changed to suit my likings)

  1. Hey Kar!! These breads sound so yummy!! One of my Mom's signature recipes was her banana bread. She blessed us with it for holidays, and before she passed, for an early morning treat for my hunting hubby. More memories...I miss her so much, and my banana bread never tastes like hers even though I use her recipe. She is my first thought when I hear the words banana bread!

    Blessings to you, friend,
    Becky
